I don't know what drove me to draw this particular member of the X-men, but this is how I always thought Cyclops' gear could work, at least according to headcannon (get it?). I've always thought that if his headgear could control or focus his optic wrath, perhaps they could also be ducted to his other extremities to perform useful functions, a la iron man. But maybe this makes him more of a DnD Beholder than a "cyclops"? I do know I've wanted to try my hand at redesigning him for a while. I also always thought he would be more fun if he were a bit of a dork, and I hope that comes across. That's why I left a couple pouches and imagined that he sticks his tongue between his front teeth when he's concentrating.
